Our Beliefs

The Church for All

We believe that Jesus commands us to bring all people to God through him. To do this, we are a united and uniting church of Christ, freely open and welcoming to all of God’s Children no matter where on their journey they may be. As Christ’s church we arrange for opportunities of worship, prayer, interpretation of the Holy Books, and edification through the teaching and preaching of the Word.

One God

We believe in one triune God, all-knowing, always-present, and all-powerful. Of one substance and of three persons simultaneously, God our Parent-Creator, Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God, God wrapped in flesh and sharing in our common lot; and the Holy Spirit which is God as our Sustainer through life and beyond.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, written and rewritten by human hands throughout time guided by the Holy Spirit and coming together through the teachings and life of Jesus Christ.

Jesus as Christ

We believe that Jesus is God incarnate, of human birth, both fully God and fully human. Jesus is the one from whom we all achieve Salvation, freely given to all, and whom we learn from his example that all people are Children of God and made in God’s image.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is how God shows us their love and interest to all people of the world. The Holy Spirit is God, ever-present, available, and working through all who choose to place their welfare into God’s hands.

We believe that salvation is possible only as the gift of God’s grace. It cannot be gained by good promises, genuine efforts, nor the following of rules, regulations, or ordinances of any church, but is freely bestowed on all who put their faith in Christ and trust in the work that Christ accomplished on the cross of Calvary. All who so trust the Savior pass from death unto life, are forgiven of their sins, accepted by the Father, and born into His family by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God.
